Shoebox Packing Steps:

STEP 1: Pick up a Shoebox & begin praying for the child receiving your gift.

STEP 2: Pick up a preprinted label and decide the appropriate age and gender.

STEP 3: Fill with gifts. Use the gift suggestions below.

Please take notice of what NOT to pack.

STEP 4: Include $10.00 in your box to cover the cost of shipping.

STEP 5: Feel free to send a letter and include a picture and your address.

You may get some mail. Not required, just a suggestion.

STEP 6: Bring your shoe box by SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 16.

Shoebox Gift Suggestions:

Toys: small cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, kazoos, harmonicas, yo-yos, jump ropes, small Etch-A-Sketch, toys that light up or make noise, Slinkys,

School Supplies: pens, pencils and sharpeners, crayons, markers, stamps and ink pad sets, writing pads or paper, solar calculators, coloring and picture books

Hygiene Items: toothbrushes, mild bar soap (in a plastic bag), comb and washcloth

Other: mints, gum, t-shirts, socks, ball caps, sunglasses, hair clips, toy jewelry, watches and flashlights

Personal Note: In a separate envelope you may enclose a note to the child and a photo of yourself or your family. (if you include your name and address, the child may write back.)

Please Do NOT Include

Soap is no longer allowed in shoebox gifts because of the complications it causes in customs in some nations.
SOAP; candy; toothpaste; gum; used or damaged items; scary or war-related items such as toy guns, knives, or military figures; chocolate or food; seeds; fruit rolls or other fruit snacks; drink mixes (powdered or liquid); liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins; breakable items such as snow globes or glass containers; aerosol cans.
